Telford Joseph Fadness of Winter, died Monday, March 24, at the Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake.
He was born June 8, 1918, in Winter WI, the son of Martin and Theoline (Roppe) Fadness. He graduated from Winter High School and then attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.
He worked in Milwaukee, WI and then Chicago, IL before returning to Winter.
On September 28, 1948 he was joined in marriage to Betty Goffin, in Stillwater, MN.
He worked at the Winter Co-op where he was the General Manager for many years. He retired in 1983.
He was a past member of the Volunteer Fire Department for the Village of Winter and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Winter. He was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; two sons, Mark of Los Angeles, CA, and Kent of St. Paul, MN; one daughter, Jodell “Jody” (Ron) Thorsett of Eden Prairie, MN; two grandchildren: two brothers, Merlin of Moose Lake, MN and Roy of Hayward; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Ruth Williamson.
