Notes Our 25 bed Critical Access Hospital is flanked by medical clinics and a long term care center. The medical campus is home to an assisted living facility that is conncected to the hospital and clinics. PHYSICIANS There are 18 physicians on the active medical staff and they have immediate contact with specialists in area hospitals for consultation. The hospital and nursing home employ close to 300 individuals. EMERGENCY SERVICES The Emergency Department is staffed by physicians and nurses 24 hours-a-day with additional personnel at designated times. Air and ground ambulances are availabe for those requiring a higher level of care. Highly skilled physicians and medical professionals from larger hospitals across the nation are attracted to this popular recreational area by the quality of life they find here. HOSPITAL ACCOMMODATIONS Design elements in the hospital were meant to aid in the restoration of health. Spacious private rooms support patient privacy. Soft colors, large windows with nature views and local art work help bring peace of mind. A sleeping couch in each patient room allows someone to stay with a young child or critically ill relative, and attractive waiting areas support family involvement. An active volunteer organization assists staff in meeting the individual needs of patients and their families.
