Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Labeouff in this city, were shocked to hear Tuesday morning that Mrs. Laboeuff had died the day before at her late home in the Chippewa settlement.
Mrs. Labeouff had but recently given birth to twin babies, the confinement of which caused her sudden demise. Mrs. Labeouff will be remembered by many as Miss Mary McGill, formerly teacher in our public schools. She was a lady of high character, and respected and esteemed by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance.
The remains arrived in the city last evening accompanied by a large delegation of sympathizing friends, all of whom assisted in the interment which took place from the Catholic Church this afternoon.
