Leon Frederick Myer, age 73, of Winter, died Sunday, September 10, 2000 at his sisters home. He was born April 11, 1927 in Mosinee, the son of Frederick and Laura (Degner) Myer. His early life and schooling were in Mosinee. He was a veteran of the United States Air Corps. On December 9, 1967 he married Opal Bowman.
He worked for Greyhound for 27 years. After retiring from Greyhound he worked for Nationwide Travelers of Appleton. He was a member of the American Legion and the Civil Air Patrol.
He is survived by (5) sisters: Patricia Myer of Loretta; Margaret Gilberts of Loretta; Rose (Glen) Tom of Winter; June Mason of Almond and Sally (Andrew) Bugyie of Exeland and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Edwin, and (3) sisters: Evelyn Eckman, Adeline Ervin and Shirley Myer. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 200 at 11:00 am from the Calvary Lutheran church in Loretta/Draper. Rev. Brian Crocker will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Draper Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the hour of the service at the church.
