April 27, 28 & 29: Winter Greenhouse Bareroot Sale and Season Opener
25% off all bareroot stock – Coffee & cookies will keep you warm all day. Experts from Bailey Nurseries will be on hand to answer questions Thursday morning. All greenhouses are open and ready to shop.
April 28: Winter Archery Club Spring Banquet, at the Wannigan  Doors open at 5 p.m.

May 20: Winter Greenhouse Open House- Lots and lots of sales. This day only! Free refreshments and Hors d’oeuvres. -8:30 a.m.– 5:30 p.m.

June 1: Winter Public Library Annual Comprehensive Summer Reading Program Begins- Toddlers-12th Grade
June 2-4: Southern Sawyer County Sports Club Armed Forces FishFest check-in at Doc Smith Park
June 3: Annual Northern Tournament, 4 Wheelin’ Warriors ATV Club at the Fishtrap Cove Resort, Winter. 8 a.m.
June 9-11: 34th Annual Last Frontier Musky Tournament
June 10 & 11: Winter Greenhouse Miniature Garden Party 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Both Days Join the annual tradition of planting a miniature planter, fairy garden or terrarium. Both days we start at 11:00 am Bring your own container or select one from our shelves. Cost is $10. That incl. potting soil, mulch, moss and pebbles. The Sprouts’ Kids Club workshop at 10 am both days. ‘Fairy Fun’. Please RSVP on our website in advance of both workshops.
June 17: Winter Lakes Alliance Kids Fishing Tournament, Flats area on Railroad Street/Lake Winter Road  10 a.m. – Noon

June 21: Winter Greenhouse Girls Night Out- Invitation to some fun at ‘Winter, Women & Wine Bottles’. Join a make and take workshop composing a ‘Succulent Wine Bottle Planter’. Listen to a talk with TV show host Arlena Schott about ‘What’s Trending in the Garden’. Time for some shopping and special sales. Cost for attending is $20. July 4:  July Jubilee Event: Main Street Parade, Food, Fun, Fireworks & Games at Doc Smith Park sponsored by the Winter Area Chamber of Commerce. July 29 & 30: Winter Greenhouse Summer Color 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Both Days Discover the inter-connectedness of nature with naturalist and writer Emily Stone at the ‘Wood Wide Web’ walk’ at 11 am Saturday.
